Community Service / Justice Team
Our Social Action Coordinating Committee supports UUCV’s commitment to active engagement in justice efforts of all kinds by supporting church members who wish to form their own action teams around different issues. Through these groups, members and friends act upon their UU values in a variety of ways, whether by providing direct services, providing donations of money or needed items, or by working as allies with other social justice organizations.

Publicity & Social Media Committee/Ministry
Helps to get the word out about church programs and events – to each other and to the wider community. The Publicity Team works with individuals or groups to let people know about your event. Email the team at publicity@uuventura.org with event information early in the process. Lots of lead time is crucial!  We reach out to the wider community by using social media and press releases and can assist you in placing paid advertising if that’s in your budget. Internally, information goes out through the Thursday email bulletin, UUCV This Week. In addition to its website, the church also has a Facebook page, Unitarian Universalist Church of Ventura, that lists events and information and also posts regularly on Instagram.
