MEDITATION & MINDFULNESS


 

Friendship Sangha of the Heart is for anyone interested in the practice of meditation or mindfulness. Both experienced practitioners and those new to the practice are welcome. We practice in the tradition of the Buddhist Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. More information at our website: FriendshipSangha.org

Participation – Our Sangha, a Buddhist Practice Group, is open to any UUCV member or non-member who is interested in Buddhist practice. Anyone interested can sign up to receive an invitation here

Meeting Location – Previous to COVID we met in the UUCV Sanctuary. Since COVID we have been meeting by zoom. When the UUCV opens to meeting at the church again we plan to offer a hybrid practice, meeting simultaneously in the UUCV Sanctuary and by zoom.

Duration of the Program – Participants may attend as often as they like.

Every Monday evening
6:45-7:00pm Greeting each other and re-connecting. 
7:00-8:30pm Mindfulness practices including meditations, readings and sharing.
Second Mondays of the Month
6:15-6:45pm Introduction to Meditation
Fifth Mondays of the Months (once a season)
6:00-6:45pm Silent Meditative Meal

 Presenters – The Sangha Caretakers take turns leading the Monday evening practice.
