PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES TEAM (PACT)
What are UUCV Programs and Activities?
- Opportunities for spiritual growth and development
- Ways to connect with each other and with the broader Ventura County community
- A great way to make friends and to serve
- Short or longer-term events, series, groups and volunteer opportunities
- The means through which people come, stay and thrive in our UU community
What UUCV Programs and Activities are
available?
The many programs and activities available are listed under seven categories to the right. Clicking on a category provides information on the opportunities within that category. We try to keep the list of opportunities current. If you find errors or omissions, please contact a member of the UUCV Programs & Activities Coordinating Team (PACT.)
Who is the Programs & Activities Coordinating Team (PACT)?
Formerly called the Adult Programs team, the PACT is a team of five who coordinate engagement opportunities (programs and activities) that build community within the context of the UU tradition. The PACT:
- Supports existing, and vets new, programs and activities, focusing on adults.
- Identifies and develops new opportunities for engagement.
- Coaches those wanting to initiate a new program or activity.
- Helps assess the health and viability of Church programs and activities.
- Catalogues programs and activities on the Church website.
- Seeks feedback to improve existing programs/activities and identifies the need for new ones.

How are Activities handled during COVID?
- Most church activities are set up to function via the internet, using Zoom.
- Some Programs and Activities are on hiatus but will resume once in-person meetings are possible.
How can I participate?
- The program or activity description includes contact information.
- Contact the Program/Activity leader to receive access if on Zoom.
- If you are having technical difficulties with Zoom, request assistance.
How do I initiate my own new Program or Activity idea?
The process begins by filling out a New Program Proposal CLICK HERE that is submitted to the PACT for review. The process is outlined in the Process for Initiating a New program or Activity document, CLICK HERE. Generally, the PACT is checking to see if the proposed program or activity is consistent with the Church’s mission and principles, and that it has a good chance to succeed.
We want your feedback
Just as we encourage people to initiate new programs and activities, we also seek your feedback on existing ones. Are they meeting your needs? Are the meeting times convenient? What could be improved? Provide feedback to any of the PACT members listed above.
