CLIMATE ACTION TEAM

7th Principle Environmental Action Team (7PEAT) act with a deep awareness of our climate crisis and the deep environmental injustices of our time. We partner with organizations like Commit2Respond and the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, as we work to respond to the growing environmental crisis.

Locally, we helped start Ventura County Climate Hub/Ventura350, our local chapter of 350.org, as a way to ally with others working directly with larger issues in the community.

Additionally, throughout our church building, we have shown our commitment to the environment by limiting energy use with a point of site water heater. We reduce our water use with low flow fixtures and use low energy bulbs throughout the building. We are proud that in 2015, we installed solar (photovoltaic) panels on the roof of our building.
