CURRENT EVENTS DISCUSSION GROUP

The Current Events Discussion Group meets each week on Zoom. Attending members (drop-in’s welcome) choose a few important issues for a lively discussion. We strive to insure that each person has an opportunity to contribute his ideas and concerns.

Participation – All are welcome.

When/Location  Tuesdays via Zoom from 9:30 AM to 11 AM.

Discussion Group Procedure

1. The discussion leader will record the order in which participants join the meeting.
2. Beginning at 9:30 AM, the discussion leader will ask each participant if they have a topic to discuss. The leader will record these topics.
3. The discussion leader will go through the discussion topics in order. For each topic, participants will be asked in order of when they joined the meeting to discuss the topic. They may decline to say anything. During this phase of the discussion, interruptions are discouraged.
4. Once all participants have had a chance to address the topic, the discussion leader will open up the topic to general discussion by any participants.
5. Once general discussion has ended, the discussion leader will move on to the next topic.
